PEL1100 Bin Compactor Reducing Costs at Boxpark Croydon

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment’s PEL1100BC Bin Compactor is reducing waste management costs at Boxpark Croydon, the newly opened sister-piece to the famed Shoreditch retail and dining complex.

Boxpark Croydon is effectively a bunch of shipping containers piled on top of each other to make a shopping centre – the venue boasts an array of chic shipping container-sized eateries and boutique shops and is home to more than fifty carefully chosen fashion, arts and lifestyle brands.

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment was tasked with reducing space allocated to general and recycling waste storage at the venue and how to cut the waste disposal costs at this innovative retail and dining outlet. A PEL1100BC Bin Compactor was installed and is allowing the centre to compact up to three 1100 litre bins into one 1100 litre bin. The effect has been to cut down space required for storing of wastes, reduce overall waste volumes by over 60% and reduce the overall waste disposal costs at the Croydon outlet.
